A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Have accomplished shower and grocery, and MOST IMPORTANT, liquor store. Still have a few things to do, but most everything is all right.

Have only had peach today. I gotta eat something.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anyway. Should I go swim now or not? It`s hot and I would feel better, but it looks like there are people there and I have to leave for church at 6:15.

I vote swim. But I just about always vote swim, unless it's under 50 degrees or so.

I'm buying some furniture off craigslist. I'm pretty much trying to fill in the empty spaces in the living room and parlor for cheap enough that I've got enough left to buy a nice bedroom set. Or, at least, a matching bedroom set. Or, at the very least, a headboard.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ok. If I feed the dog now and then swim for a half hour or so, I`ll be hungry when I get back and can eat my extraneous groceries and then go to church.

I've sworn off IKEA textiles. I've had way too many bad experiences with them. (Most recently, the backing of a bath mat melted and stuck to my bathroom floor, and when I pulled it up, several sections of the rug stayed attached to the floor. I was able to get the fuzzy part of the rug off, but nothing I tried got the backing off, and even when I hired a cleaning company to clean the apartment when I moved out, they couldn't get it up, either.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

DJ- found out some stuff. YES, Parasol's ownership is changing hands, and yes, the buyers are from Florida. I mentioned the part about the franchising, and the bartender didn't know about that, but did mention that they'd been coming in taking pictures of every square inch.

The Parasol's crew will be heading up a block to Third and Magazine under a new name. Last day at current location is, as previously reported, August 31.

I did eat a roast beef po'boy, though, and Tom did drink a bunch of Miller Lites. I drank mojitos (ok, and a G&T and a beer) and am drunk and bummed.

Ugh, why does my apartment smell so stinky/stale? I work very hard to not have that happen!!!
