So far so good with the dad visit.

He came by my office from the airport. I showed him around and we had lunch at the office cafeteria. Then we stopped by the mall to see Kelly at work. It was her last day.

Then he checked into his hotel and changed into cooler clothing (he had heavy weight pants, and a long sleeve shirt on, plus he had gotten on the plane with a parka. It was in the 90's today). We took CJ to karate, picked up my CSA share, then went back to watch CJ's class. Dinner at Panera and then CJ's karate demo team try out.

When we got back to my place he actually helped CJ with his French homework. So far so good.

Tomorrow the guys are going hiking up at Red Rocks while Kelly and I hit the dojo. Then we are all going to see Inception. None of us has seen it yet.

I'm tired and cranky and I can't breath. This is fucking awful.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My, it's been quiet in here.

I'm up earlier than I'd like, thank to Nova, once again. I also have to go into the lab this morning to take care of some things. Hopefully that won't take long, and then I can go to the library.

Our wings are not tired.

Sounds good, SuziQ. Enjoy the day.

{{Kat}} Breathing is not at all overrated.

My niece just called me to see if I could come over for breakfast, read fix her computer. She has decaf because she is nursing. I told her to let me consume a lot more real coffee first.

I hope the cold passes quickly, Kat. And no one else gets it.

One of the things I like about my walk to the market is walking down 34th: pretty victorians and yards. It's feels like the teeny town my grandparents retired to.

Got white nectarines, spinach, spinach empanadas, corn and a small thing of these purpley grape tomatoes. One smashed on my hip on the way home, so just ate it. It's very meaty and savory. Interesting.

Thing I'm gonna go get a pedicure. Would have on the way home (there's a place I pass that looks decent) but it wasn't open yet.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Kat, is it a physical thing or a stress thing, or both?

Omnis, that's ridiculous.

Suzi, glad to hear that the visit is going well so far.

Off to look at Cashmere's skate pics and video!

smonster, physical. I seem to have gotten a head cold. This is how my mind works, too: I had a tickle in my throat two days ago that I should have paid attention to, but didn't. Now I have a head full of cotton and snot. No fever (though Noah has lost our thermometer somewhere ARGH), but clogged ears etc. I should take sinupret (miracle formula!) but I'd rather keep using it preventively for Grace. And I don't want to go to Walmart to get more (though I know for sure Walmart has it, and while WHole Foods SAYS they have, I've never seen it there).

Moreover, I'm really worried that I have pertussis, or that I'll get pertussis, given the epidemic and I don't know if my pertussis vaccine is up to date.

ARGH.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, Kat. Here's hoping it's just a regular cold.

I am clinging stubbornly to the idea that my issues are allergies and not a cold, although I don't know why that would be any better.

I need to get up and moving. I'm all confused because my errands are in different directions, but seriously? All within a few blocks.

I have sniffles too! And I am DAMNED if I am getting a cold on my birthday party day. I have taken a Claritin, and there's more meds where that cam from, missy!

Hey, look at me! -- I'm up before 10 am! In TX, msbelle just felt a little burst of pride, and she doesn't know why.

Storm last night cooled things down muchly. Now, I gotta attach the porch and the deck and the weeds before it gets too hot.

Coffee first, my friends. Coffee first.
