The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ms. Grace's giggling? Best. Thing. Ever.

Seriously.

I needed it too--today was less than ideal, and it looks like it's not going to end until Monday.

It wasn't all bad though. I also got my vividcon dvds, thanks to Shrift!

We went to the farmer's market today. I have kale. For kale chips. nom nom nom

I'm still not braving kale.

Went looking for a photo, ended up going through my December and February blizzard photos. Holy crap. I still don't believe it. Lived through it, shoveled it, have the water stains to prove it. But I still can't imagine that much snow. Especially not now, when I spend my evenings in skimpies and 2 a/c units running full bore upstairs and still regularly soak myself in sweat doing the most minor of chores.

Well, Grace eats kale at least 2 days a week too, so that's really the reason I bought it. But the double batch is for chips.

Grace is EXHAUSTED today as is Noah. We went to the park for 2 hours this morning. Then home. Then farmer's market. Life can be killer.

AND I wore my thelma-and-the-zombi-apocalypse shirt from threadless. Noah kept asking about why the dog had a hand bone in his mouth. oops.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Noah kept asking about why the dog had a hand bone in his mouth. oops.

Kids are FASCINATED by that shirt! I had several ask me,"Is that Scooby?" And look a little strange. Olivia keeps asking me why there is blood on the bone in the dog's mouth. I tell her he's a zombie hunting dog and caught one.

I hadn't thought it all the way through. I asked Noah if he wanted me to wear a different shirt but he said no.

So tired. I'm reading Little Bee which is not conducive to napping/sleeping/stopping. The book is really wonderful.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

ita, Dole markets an orange-peach-mango juice that eases a lot of the OJ acid for me. I still cut it with water or soda, though. Or, you know, vodka.

Also, amazed at the volume of water off my roof in a storm. Need to consider a rainbarrell.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yay Gracie giggles

I think I am a medium sci-fi fan as well. Except my genre is not Crime, but Teen Soap. This is actually one of the many ways that Buffy (and Twin Peaks) are brilliant, because they bring so many threads together. Of course, that is where they fail.

I have spent 12 hours on Ancestry.com. I now know that a) my grandpa's family, which I always was told was German immigrant really has been in American since before the Revolution, b) my great aunt Frances was really names Lula and my great aunt Annabelle was really named Edna, c) both my great and my great-great grandmothers claimed to be widows on the census, but their husbands were "boarders" in another woman's house and d) I appear to be a decendant of Edward III and a whole bunch of Neville's, Mortimer's and Pole's
