Oh, amyth! All good thoughts to your brother. That's really scary. Keep us posted?
Buffistas, I need some of your famous ~ma to cheer me up. We just determined that its not possible financially for me to go home to visit this year. I have been surviving every day of homesickness by looking forward to a trip home in the fall. And now I have nothing to look forward to. I am a bit of a mess. I have a wonderful baby and a (usually) wonderful husband, but I have nothing else here and I am finding it very difficult to be happy.
Callaluna, just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're struggling to be happy right now. It can be really, really rough to move somewhere new, especially as big a move as this was for you, and it is a huge bummer that you can't go home like you'd planned. Are there things you can do for yourself that might cheer you up? Multivitamins, walks in the sunshine, reading a good book, meeting other local new moms?
Oh amyth!! Much much much ~~ma to your brother and your family! May it turn out to be something minor and easily fixed.
Ugh Callaluna.

All this. Plus I know that caring for a newborn can be isolating. I recommending getting out and about as much as you can.
Healthma for your bro, amyth!
The water here at work is off. Yesterday it was brown. Today, I washed my lunch dishes in it and it looked fine, but I splashed some on my shirt and it has left a brown stain and it reeks like pong water.

Someone pointed out it also looks like BatMarmaduke.
amyth, I'll say it in person, too, but loads and loads of health~ma for your brother.
Man, I wish people who told you you'd be covered by insurance could be held liable for their BEING FUCKING WRONG AND COSTING YOU MONEY. That would be nice. And yet another thing I have to chase down.
So much hate for this shit. So much.
I just figured they listed who got paid most. Boreanaz and Dempsey are higher profile (for good or ill) than their female costars.
Well, but they list multiple actors for several of the procedurals. Surely Deschanel and wassername aren't that far off what their male colleagues make.

Ha.
Ha.
Ha.
But seriously -- the men each went into the part with a higher profile and better name recognition.
What Jesse said. They're both still bigger names to this day, too. I'm surprised where I see the CSI and L&O:SVU women getting pay near or equivalent to the mensfolk (go Marg! You win!).
Yeah, Marg actually makes more than Lawrence Fishburne.
I was surprised not to see Shemar Moore on that list. He was decently well known when the show started, at least as much as Thomas Gibson, I would think.
