Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

"Your mama was an acorn" is pretty damned funny to me. Hard to know what to suggest without know the actual trees/plants/arboretum map in question, though.

It's not the same feelings as seeing the CSI truck pull up and start digging in the neighbor's back yard but still. This kid BEGS to have Owen over to his house to play.

...OK, did the CSI truck thing really happen??!

And, poor kid. At least now you know? Eep.

Now tagless for your comfort.

OK, did the CSI truck thing really happen??!

Not to me!

I just had to take a break and let Olivia paint my nails. She needs more practice. But it was fun.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So glad you and Mac are okay and that he is not freaked out, msbelle.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Spidra, we've got a European Beech called the Elephant Tree, he's the star. I'm introducing a sympathetic character that will either be a young honey bee just out of the hive, or a young chipmunk. There's a ginormous Tulip Tree that I'm calling Tiny Tim, because I find that freaking hysterical. A Sugar Maple who's all "my milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard", a depressed Giant Sequoia concerned about the oil spill, a young punky Red Oak who was just planted this year, an abused American Beech I'm call Gus (for Fagus) with carvings in his bark, some evergreens, amongst them Hemlocks, who for now are droning on about paper and recycling, an Ironwood that I am resisting doing pervy things wth, and a heap of decomposing wood that I'm trying to turn into a ghost story to tie the whole thing together (culminating in a circle-of-life bit of nonsense that might involve some new age trite about the air we breathe and the air the trees breathe.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Glad you guys are OK, msbelle! I was in the car with my mom one time when we got rear-ended at a stop sign. I was reading, and didn't even notice.
