If you see someone drawing in a meeting, do you think they're not paying attention, even if they look up most of the time and make a lot of eye contact with the speakers?
I get paranoid about that, but can't stop making stars and spirals in the margins regardless.
meara, you just haven't done the right consignment shopping.
I swear, I am going to give all of you L.A. and SF peeps my phone number, wishlist, and shoe size, and have you call or text me if you find anything good.

I worry about that, too, but it doesn't stop me from sketching outfit designs while I'm listening.
I've drawn a lot of coffee cups and water pitchers over the years.
All we have on the table are conference call phones. I have done some heavily modified pictures of attendees. I hope to never get busted on that.

I assume they're like me and need a controlled distraction so they have at least a hope of paying some degree of attention to the speaker.

I draw stars, crescent moons, the back of elephants, and then these weird freeform blobs that I fill with little boxes and circles.
Zenkitty, I got the "current styles" thing, too. What poppycock! If I were interested in current styles, I'd shop at Ross.
Let's see...they're picky about what clothes they'll buy second-hand, they have jacked up the prices of what THEY sell...I'm guessing the hard core of second-hand shoppers are going elsewhere. I wish I'd had more ability to sell my clothes online before I moved. I had to keep the house in showroom shape which made me more loathe to conduct piecemeal Craig's List transactions. I ended up giving away loads! Jilli, do you sell via Craig's List or etsy or what?

Yeah, we're going to Etsy and eBay.
Jilli, do you sell via Craig's List or etsy or what?
I sell via LJ, but I get an insane amount of traffic on my LJ. But there are also LJ communities for just about every type of fashion out there.
I'm too afraid to draw people for fear they'll notice it and get offended. I generally only draw people I see at cafés or public places where they're distracted enough not to notice me doing it.
