Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Woohoo Allyson!

I am currently breaking everything I touch and getting really confused.

A supposedly simple task I wanted to get out of the way has exploded into a project of epic proportions. Uhng.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey, is anyone Boston-ish (or formerly so) around? Is there any place I can get crap like this [link] in a store? Without driving? I want cheap but not too cheap...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Allyson, that's a fabulous blurb. It doesn't surprise me in the least that he likes Sam, though. How can anybody not love Sam?

Because books.

Oh, that's pretty, Perkins.

Now I want someone to buy it for me, too.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Going back to yesterday's personal freak out about asking for a promotion. The person who would need to work the process doesn't realize he has that authority (due to the stooooopid reorg). HR is bringing him up to speed and I just talked to my operations lead (he balances workload but doesn't have any authority over my career) is going to make sure the request doesn't get dropped.

Wheee? Honestly, I don't expect anything to happen until year end raises, but with my company if you aren't under consideration before they start all the year end stuff (which is soon-ish), then forget it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Someone needs to buy me this. Stat.

It's good that you've got the right people talking to the right people, Suzi!
