Does anyone who types quite a lot during the business day have long fingernails, and if so, do they get in the way? I was growing out my nails and finally had to cut them off because they were interfering. I see pictures of secretaries with long talons, and I imagine they're typing with the nail tips, which hurts when I try it all day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yes, sometimes we just get fed up and can't deal, and we all WANT to cuss out the plane, grab a beer and leave, but being a grownup means you power through and bitch to the Buffistas afterward, right?

Right.

Ann, that's a ferret.

JetBlue flight attendant flip-out guy - folk hero or not?

Based on what I've heard, probably not, though my exact reaction depends on what really happened.

I've read at least one report that says the tipping point was when the unruly passenger hit the flight attendant with a carry-on bag -- possibly accidentally, possibly not accidentally. If it wasn't accidental, flight attendant's actions bother me less.

Still bothers me, though. Because flight attendant chose to go off on the entire planeload of people. Most of whom, I've no doubt, were blameless in the sense that they were at least civil to flight attendant during the flight, and made no demands on him beyond those comfortably within his job duties.

Now, if he'd just gone off on unruly passenger, and maybe any passengers who'd acted like jackasses during the flight, I might be more sympathetic.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I've read at least one report that says the tipping point was when the unruly passenger hit the flight attendant with a carry-on bag -- possibly accidentally, possibly not accidentally. If it wasn't accidental, flight attendant's actions bother me less.

The passenger stood up before they'd been given the all-clear. The attendant told him to sit down. The passenger ignored him and pulled out his luggage, which accidentally or non-accidentally hit the flight attendant. The attendant asked for an apology, and the passenger called him a motherfucker.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Does anyone have any personal recommendations on environmentally friendly high SPF sunscreens? I've been doing research and cross-referencing the best sunscreen lists with the eco-friendly sunscreen lists, but I'd love to hear if anyone has a personal rec as well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
