We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I have salad I need to prep right now! Also, I made pesto tonight using a blender about as old as I am.

What a lot of nonsense trying very hard to masquerade as sweet reason.

She's got it in one.

Love that letter.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

In the summer I tend to make an enormous greek salad and eat it all week. I just leave off the oil and vinegar and it doesn't get soggy.

Darn, I forgot to get olives today. KNEW I was forgetting something.

Oh, I didn't give a Frankie update, did I? Vet said he might be a little sore, but not too bad off. He already seems better.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cash that sounds delicious.

It really is awesome. And easy to make.

Our neighbors came over this afternoon to tell DH that we have a Peeping Tom in the neighborhood. They called the police but they didn't catch anyone. I'm creeped out. We have a lot of windows.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

soy, onions, broccoli, tomatoes and blueberries.

I bought none of those today! Wait, there are tomatoes in the spaghetti sauce and salsa. And onions in the salsa!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

At the funeral today, 2 of the four of us who were supposed to sing dropped out. My remaining brother felt he didn't know the words well enough so even though I wasn't dead sure I'd remember them all, I ended up singing Amazing Grace solo for the interment. Many people complimented, etc.

My dad (who is pretty anti-music and anti-art as jobs) seriously suggested that I try to hire myself out for weddings and funerals as a singer ("cantor"). I said to him that I don't think people want to hire an acapella singer (I can't play instruments anymore, really).

In the past I would assume I am right without actually checking it out. I've always been under the impression that no one will hire a solo acapella singer for almost anything. So I ask folks here, is my father right? Is this something I'm being too dismissive and negative about or would it be a rare thing indeed for anyone to hire a solo acapella singer for ceremonies?

Librarian Warlord

Spidra, a cantor sang at our wedding (outside, at a national park) so I think there is some call for that.
