Steph, yes, it's real. Although a bit heavy-handed for someone to demand that people handle it that way rather than just staying in the pew. When I was a practicing Catholic, I didn't stare at people staying in their pews nor think they were tacky.

She's been back in England with her mum. Her father died this year and wanted to spend a lot of time there. She's heading back to Bangkok right about now, I think.

My father is coming out to visit next weekend. I just got a note from him that he has booked at room at a local hotel. I'm both relieved and kinda disappointed. What is wrong with staying with us?
Either way - lots of cleaning between now and Friday.

No, not at all. Though please, if you're staying in a pew don't just expect people to scootch past you by vaguely angling your legs to the side so their butts end up in your face, both on the way out and the way back in!!

I seem to be listening to all the Jesus Christ Superstars on Youtube. Anyway there seems to be this "modern" interpretation of the final Jesus Christ Superstar where Judas is dressed as the devil It is very bizarre to me, because I always thought that the whole darn point of JCS was that poor Judas was serving God while betraying Jesus, because ultimately Jesus couldn't be resurrected without Jesus.
