If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I went to Xoco when I was in Chicago for work last year. The pork belly vermicelli was AMAZING, and I got one of the sandwiches to go for my breakfast the next day and it was equally as yummy!

And the company didn't suck.

Kathy, I'm up for Xoco any time you want. Really. Any time.

Can you get a neighbor to help stack already packed boxes so you have an easier time with the few remaining?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I saw a humming bird in the park today!

I consider that a good luck sign. I saw a hummingbird the day Jacqueline said yes.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh! We are taking my folks to Chicago in Sept (they met there and my mom hasn't been back since 66). Maybe we should try to go to Xoco!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oy. Rudy Giuliani's daughter was arrested for shoplifting at Sephora. (Doesn't seem like very smart shoplifting -- they said that she was putting stuff into the pockets of her coat. It's been about 95 degrees all day. Anybody wearing a coat is going to look suspicious.)

And the company didn't suck.

Yes! I was there with my friend Dan, and ran into Brenda there!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Liese, you are utterly and completely kind, generous and amazing. I love you for it. The issue is that my sister and my niece flew from Hawaii to Ohio to drive with my mom. I'm not sure I could convince my mom NOT to go on the trip at this point.

Sigh.

I want to cry because this is going to be expensive and complicated and I ultimately do not want.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Huge fight with DH this afternoon on top of a looong, annoying meeting for a fundraiser I'm working on for the end of this month.

This day has been a total fail except for Wil Wheaton replying to one of my tweets.

Our wings are not tired.

Cashmere, AND the overturning of Prop 8!

But I am sorry you and DH had a huge fight.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just got to see the Prop 8 stuff. That's huge. I just have to avoid FB in case one of my annoying relatives posts something that I'll have to go off on.

My day started with my sister waking me with a phone call to tell me her mother in law had had a stroke and they were taking her off life support so not much could really pull me out of a mood.
