Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think it's partly because she's so beautiful. It's the (literal) human face thing -- I think hearing about atrocities in bulk makes them easier not to think about.

In better news about humanity, yay for a good nurse, Kat! Yay for your awesome dad, Sara!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think it's partly because she's so beautiful.

I guess that's part of it. You can't help but notice that aspect as well.

Kat, very good news!

As much as my parents have quirks that make me INSANE, they are really truly awesome people, personally and professionally.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Also, your lamp looks like a perfectly buffed and shiny butt.

That's too funny! I never would have made that connection. I painted it last year; it was a bland green.

I read an article about the editor's decision to run that photo. It was pretty interesting.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

It makes me pretty white hot mad, too. I hope that photo inspires lots of donations to the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Vortex, yes, the guy.

He took Grace out for a walk for an hour today (he's young and it probably blows to be trapped in the house). And he wanted to know what skills we want him to work with her on. Also, he's teaching her sign language.

So much better.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Your dad is pretty darn awesome, sara. I love when you talk about him.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Damn. I so need to pick a spot and do that, Erin. Anywhere would be a good place to start. But I see days. not hours.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am such a fangirl of sara's parents.
