Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

A very Happy Anniversary to the Miracleborns and to Sox and DH!

Oh, and to me, too. DH and I clearly picked a superior day to get married!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ack! Not forgetting the Scrappy and DH Anniversary! May there be dozens more, every one as happy!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Happy Anniversary, Scrappy!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

for $2 I could buy a whole package of blackberries and squeeze one into about forty glasses of water myself.

Yes, but would you?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hint sounds interesting. Too many of those sorts of drinks are artificially flavoured. I wonder if they are at my local Ralph's.

Happy coupleversaries to Scrappy and DH, the MiracleBorns, and Sox.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

It may have been, but it didn't have that weird artificial taste to it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The web site said unsweetened, but I didn't see an actual ingredient list.

Yes, I am suspicious.

Fuze messed with me--they don't say diet, etc, on all their artificially sweetened drinks--you have to read the ingredients.

And when I last bought one, I asked the woman behind the counter if they were all artificially sweetened and she said "This one is--it has fructose" which really underscores you have to do the work yourself.

If someone could explain to me why my eyes are almost swollen shut and my butt feels like it's sprained, that would be wonderful. I feel like so much crap. If email hadn't been down this morning, I might not even have made it into the office. But I suspected my VPN connection. Turns out that wasn't it. So I'm in and cross-eyed and can't sit comfortably for no really good reason.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

msbelle

I am in a similar situation having started doing consulting work for a previous employer in April and struggled trying to figure out the rules for an independent contractor when I was an employee last year. I finally just ran another instance of the tax software I used for my 2009 return using my estimated consulting income and came up with some numbers that way. My primary concern was the federal self-employment tax since my understanding is that is the one that is most often audited. I guessed at many of the deductions and may end up overpaying but I didn't want to get hit with a big bill and underpayment penalties next January.

You can probably still pick up a copy of the 2009 software or I think H&R Block will let you complete a return on-line. Keep in mind that you don't have state income tax in Texas so that is one less form to complete.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

WowWee Roboscooper: finally, a robot that picks up after you

A Roomba is great for when you're too lazy to vacuum for yourself, but you still need to pick up so it has room to do its thing. Now, the Roboscooper can do that for you, too.

A comment:

But is it smart enough to ignore the cats? (Presuming they don't run from it)

Good question.
