The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ow. Ow ow ow. So when I went dancing on Friday, I foolishly wore boots with traction-type soles. I caught one of my heels in the lowest ring of my hoop skirt, and suddenly sat down on the dance floor. My back is now letting me know that oh yes, something is out of whack.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

OK, I finally saw The Dark Knight today.

The ending was noble and whatever, but why the hell did they have to pin the murders on Batman? The Joker and three countries worth of crime syndicates were killing people all over the place.

The insano heat is still here and will be for the foreseeable future. Some counties start school tomorrow in 95+ heat.

Having to take apart one bed to fix it led to my moving taking apart all the beds; switching the twin beds with the double bed; polishing the bedrooms' floors; and cleaning all the things. I still haven't put together one bed and most of the stuff I had to take out of the rooms to do that are scattered all over the house.

Mr Peabody hates the confusion. I had to move his food and he won't eat it in a strange place. He comes in, sees that "clean all the things" is still going on, and promptly turns around and goes back out.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Yeouch, Jilli. I hope it gets better soon. Love to hear the words "dance" and "hoop skirt" in the same sentence. Youse my kinda peoples.

Starting to rip all my CDs to my external HD in case I have to move to a place so small I can't even bring my de-jewelboxed CDs with me. Tedious and sad. On the good side, I'm able to be in the moment enough to sing along with Standard Ridgeway on "The Cannon Song".

Trying to ration out Diet Dr. Pepper spiked with Bacardi so that I feel nice, but not so tired I wanna go to bed.

CJ has one more week of freedom before school starts. I don't think I'm ready.

That's an early return to school. We don't go back until 9/13. Seriously.

In other news, my dad has been re-hospitalized. Did I mention he was hospitalized two weeks ago in WYOMING for heart problems? He got home to Ohio without too much issue and he went back into the hospital via the ER on Thursday, the day my mom got back from her 2 months away. Tomorrow AM they are doing something where they are trying to reset his heart. If this doesn't work he'll stay in the hospital until the anti-coagulents are out of his system so they can put in a pacemaker. Oy.

My poor mom.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Trudy, as much as I loved Heath as the Joker, I prefer Batman Begins.

Feel better soon, Jilli.

Thanks, smonster. It's made even more dramatic because my sister and niece are in Ohio and my mom is supposed to drive to Arizona with them to drop D, my niece, off at college. My sister was with my parents last year for 9 months while she had a liver transplant.

Life for my mom is interesting.

Oh Kat, much copingisms to you and your family. That's too much medical drama.
