So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

They tend to be generous in the toebox, from my experience (which is why I love them so) so if you've got skinny balls, I'd go with regular sizing even if the rec is to do a size up.

Huh. The toeboxes on all the more modern ones I've tried have been ridiculously tight, and the instep designed for people without one. The vintage pair I got the other day I was able to use my actual size instead of going up, though.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

so if you've got skinny balls

I'm the only adolescent giggling over this? Really?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Not just you.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Moving in with one's parents is a fraught thing. I expected it to be hard, I prepared myself as much as I could. My grandma has been in the hospital for 2 months now hovering on the brink of death. She took a turn for the worse today so I'm sure tensions were even higher than usual, but my dad flipped out on me tonight. Something unforeseen is a dealbreaker to him and it's also a line in the sand for me.

So now I've wasted lots of time and some of the last money I have before complete Brokesville moving down here. Gonna be hard to get the resources to move back to the Bay Area again but I think that's what I've got to do now. I really really don't want to live in the usual Section 8 housing because I've lived nearby such places and they're loud and dangerous. But I'm new to this whole SSDI poverty thing so I'm not sure how to find a safe place that isn't completely isolated. Oddly enough, I'd have an easier time living this close to the bone if I weren't disabled. I could basically live in a car or something. Not possible in my current medical situation. Hmm.

Well, at least I'm handling things better than I would have in the past. I've only had slightly teary eyes at times and have been able to focus on DOING something rather than getting all angst-ridden over something not really in my control. We'll see if I manage to keep rolling with the punches.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Even for the post-office this is bad. Washington is 100% mail-ballots or close to it. We got someone's filled out ballot delivered to us. I mean the county address is pre-printed on the envelope. And they are ballots. The Post Office is carrying a lot of them. How drunk do you have to be not to notice you are delivering an official ballot which should ONLY go to government offices. We got someone else's credit card bill too, which has obvious issues ....

Yikes, Burrell, sounds like your morning adventure continued! Thank you and ita for both coming this morning.

sara, are you still planning on going up to see your aunt next week?

I have to get back on the diet train, though Suzi's beets sound nom.

Perkins and Jesse, I roast the beets with olive oil. They are delish. But mainly Grace eats them.

I was typing a puerile response, but it got lost in the shuffle between laundry and making stir fry.

I ordered the black & whites in a 7 1/2. Eventually they will be mine.

Gonna be hard to get the resources to move back to the Bay Area again but I think that's what I've got to do now.

Ugh, Spidra. That sucks.

The photos from Chelsea Clinton's wedding are pretty. Bill Clinton lost a TON of weight.

Maybe not next week, but soon. My parents keep offering to pay it, but I keep not using the card we share. But I haven't told them, um. And rates just went up, but fuck that. I honestly don't care about that right now.I'd pay the full fare. There's no price on this.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, shit, Spidra. I'm so sorry. And I know how you've been agonizing over this move, so I can't help kind of wanting to shake your dad until his teeth rattle for not having given a hint of the dealbreaker/line in the sand until now, after you're already bloody well there.
