I wasn't sure it was a fact, but I have believed it for years! This is why I won't eat supermarket corn. I'm just glad to have data. I think I need to eat tonight's second ear now.

The one ear of corn that I harvested in the backyard, I just ate raw right there whenI peeled back the husk to make sure it was ripe. Pretty delicious, if tiny.
Oh yeah, super fresh corn is excellent raw.
