Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Sophia you seriously need to work in a place with less stupid people! (although the stories are amusing)

The funny thing is, it isn't just one stupid person! Although I would not say stupid so much as not really thinking through things. I mean, these people are all (except my nemisis) competent at their jobs!

Always Anti-fascist!

I think we got the dog before I met Buffista Betsy, although I think they have been to an f2f together and I did find myself hoping that she didn't think that I thought she had a canine appearance or something. Her old vet used to say she was the "friendliest Jack Russell" he'd ever met so that wouldn't be a slam on a Buffista would it?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wait, what's wrong with Josh Malina?

Now I am looking at Weight Watchers point values, and I think that I totally eat within my Weight Watchers points (I get 28, because I am over 200 lbs). I mean, not every day, but I am not losing or trying to lose weight.

I also think it is weird that they adjust your points lower for age because your metabolism slows as you age. I am thinking that maybe our metabolism slows as we age so that we can have some fat stores when we are old and sick.

Also, what is "cornmeat"?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I think what she is doing is saving points from healthy things she used to eat so that she can eat other things that have higher points.

See, that I totally understand. (Says the woman who is eating a very healthy, light-calorie lunch because she plans on having Tasty Booze at the club tonight.) But the way she phrased it ...

Same here. I am eating very sensibly for lunch so I can have a burger tonight. But not having an apple?? They're only 1 point. And, WW totally stresses eating healthy choices over not-so-healthy ones.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait, what's wrong with Josh Malina?

Brad Whitford bags all over him in that Q&A, apparently because he's been mocking the mustache via twitter.

A typo for cornmeal?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I once worked with a woman whose doctor told her that she had to lose weight, to help get her blood pressure down. So she went to the store and bought "diet" this and "lite" that, everything either canned or frozen - processed to the max. Then, at some point, she looked at the sodium content ... and hit the roof, totally outraged that they'd put all that nasty sodium in her nice, healthy, low-cal food.

Heh. One of the (many, amazing!) perks to having our registered dietitian friend living with us is that I am learning a lot about nutrition. Such as butter is your friend! This is what portion sizes really look like! Wacky, I tell you.
