I am really, really good at ignoring cats and sleeping anyway. I can pet a cat in my sleep. I can ignore meows and poking and kneading. I am not saying I get good sleep, but I don't get out of bed. Maybe if there were two of them!
My old cat, Mr. Kitty, used to sleep on my face. My solution was to change sleeping areas. I would move from bed to sofa to other sofa all night long, and still, he slept on my face. He weighed 27 pounds.
The thing that eventually cured him was the time I got bronchitis, and he kept being violently coughed off of my face.
Making a channel for The Pierces gave me all female vocalists.
AND I FINALLY GET TO GO TO SOUTH OF THE BORDER!!!!
It is a strange and unsettling place. I haven't needed a return visit.
We only have 3 channels so far: Galaxy 500, Elvis Costello, and Dead Can Dance. I should probably add a jazz and a kid's music. Hmm, I bet a They Might Be Giants channel would fit that niche.
The DH, geek that he is, found a radio which allows you to set two alarms and has two attached clock/speakers, so we each have one on our side of the bed. I no longer have to sit up to see over him and squint to find out the time if I wake up in the middle of the night! I get up at 7 and he sleeps until 8 or so, so it works really well for us. And, yes, I get dressed in the dark every day.
Yep, I was right about TMBG.

I can get up, feed the cats and get back to sleep with little problem.
Pandora rules! You gotta have a heavy hand with the thumb's down, though.

Hee! Once may indeed be enough. I am going to eat in the restaurant shaped like a hat! Maybe twice!
One thing about the job that's nice is I'll have time on my hands to practice my bass, write, and look for voiceover work (there is a fair amount in Orlando between video game companies and the mouse) AND it puts my depressive ass on a schedule (since R has to eat at certain times). I might even develop some
::gasp::
discpline.
Weird, huh?
