Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sort of catching up...

In general, the Northeast Corridor trains are reasonably on time

My train to NYC on Thursday was perfectly on time. My train back last night was two hours late. That sucked. And by the time it occured to me to see if I could trade my ticket in for an Acela ticket, it was too late.

I think sex addiction has less tangible downsides than a gambling addiction, but they do exist

I can't believe none of you watched Dr. Drew's Sex Rehab! Half of those people were literally not getting out of bed for days. Some of them were dealing with more emotional problems.

The seller has accepted the offer! The only conditions they placed were that they want to keep possession of a few items from the backyard that we were going to remove anyway. WIN!

Woo hoo!

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks, all.

A good mortgage broker is very valuable. The localistas may know someone.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I went with a mortgage broker that my buyer-broker recommended and was approved for way more than I ended up spending -- so that when I went looking, I knew exactly how much I could spend and only was going to look at houses that were at low-to-middle of that price range.

And then, yeah, the first house we visited in person... it can happen!

Heh, sarameg. Money quote:

He actually used the words, 'I am holding Hubble hostage until you read my application.'

I think I'm going to use that to start all my cover letters from now on.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies, Laura!!

“Not dead yet!”

Lemme try that again...

Ooooh... meara, so pretty! (And I can attest that east-facing mountains first thing in the morning, on a pretty morning, like the last several we've had, are a glorious thing.)

Re last night's skating: desecration of Australian aboriginal culture aside, it was just a badly constructed, flaily, poorly skated program.
