msbelle, so happy for you! You're definitely going to beat me at getting things done. I work at a glacial pace.
I'm eating some kind of beef empanada, and it is good. I should have gotten more, because she had like 5 different kinds, but I only got two. Can't recall what the other is, tomorrow's lunch. Or dinner. This one has beef and peppers and egg and who knows what. Nom.
I've been on the go since 8: farmer's market (fresh eggs, empanadas, coffee,) then to EC for a haircut and fruitless trip to Target. Then home and over to Tiff and Matt's to help assemble wedding invites. Then pool for a mile and a half. Home, dinner. Manicure next. Tomorrow: up early, TJ's, another stab at a different Target, grocery for anything I can't get for cookies at TJs. Swim, cookies, laundry, clean floors, maybe dye my hair if I have time. It's a bunch of shit that didn't get done in the last couple weeks because of the damned weather and commute. I'm tired already.
Not really, msbelle. Doesn't have a thread that would apply to it, so mention of it would go here, in a Grey's Anatomy fashion.
Damn, Sara. Things I've gotten done since 8am today: woke up, realized it was
8am, went back to sleep. Woke up again when my alarm went off at 10, slept some more. Woke up at 12:30. Got up. Made a smoothie. Read a book. Read the Internet. Failed to arrange to go to yoga with a friend, was secretly happy because that meant not havin to rxcercise. Tried to nap off headache, failed. Watched a few minutes of curling. Am now waiting at bus stop to go downtown and pick up my fixed new glasses (which were wrong the first time). I know I'm three hours behind you, but...
The thing is sara, not much needs doing. the backyard work is just hauling stuff out and some of that has to be done by pros. Then a short wall to be built on the edge of the small covered patio, again has to be done by pros - a smaller job than your deck. The painting will just require me to make some choices when I am down there in 5 weeks. Then probably making some flower bed areas, maybe planting some crepe myrtles (sp?) both in the front yard to reduce how much lawn there is to water and mow. Oh and I am very likely changing lighting fixtures, there is quite a bit of polished brass.
Speaking of GA, isn't
Calli having thought that Alex was the elevator hero and sleeping with him a complete reversal of canon, given how she and George got together?
msbelle, I am several eps behind on The Good Wife, but I will catch up some day soon, and then I would be happy to talk about it.
I've been watching The Good Wife. . . but not the repeats.
I only started watching GW a month or so back, so I am trying to catch every repeat also to catch upon the backstory. It is so good.
GA - yes, I think it is - from what I recall.
The backstory on The Good Wife is confusing. It's being revealed in weird bits and pieces -- a bunch of times, the first time we've heard mention of some big thing was when someone was insisting it wasn't true.
I am really liking The Good Wife. There's a lot there to talk about - both the plot and characters are nicely complex.
GA: I think I remember
Alex claiming to be the elevator guy to Calli and the surgery going pretty much like in the flashback, but not them sleeping together. But I'm not sure. I thought that when we first met Calli she was already all into George.
