Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

Probably, tommyrot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think sex addiction has less tangible downsides than a gambling addiction, but they do exist. And I don't see any reason psychological addictions don't deserve serious consideration and treatment.

Almost anything can be overindulged in to the point where it jeopardises the rest of your life one way or another.

Is it because sex is fun and everyone's supposed to like it that being addicted to it isn't considered serious?

Always Anti-fascist!

If you have, like, twenty "mistresses", I think the case could be made that you are sexually compulsive, but no, don't know what treatment is like. I also wonder what the hell Duchovny was doing that was so weird that they felt okay putting "sex addiction" in a press release, but since I like him, maybe it's better I don't know.

Our wings are not tired.

The thing that impressed me about his speech was he admitted he had felt entitled. That's an important thing to be aware of.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am incredibly irked by the fact that a technical reviewer felt free to romp through my document and make punctuation changes. Which are wrong.

I am taking some comfort in rejecting his changes. But not enough to stop being irked.

hip deep in pie

So I woke up this morning, got out of bed and immediately had to hug the door jamb to keep myself from falling over, I was so dizzy. Then came the nausea. Blargh.

I also think that it's because people don't see the harm in it. I mean, people get the downside of gambling, but what's the harm in having lots of sex?

They should ask Mrs. Woods. Or Tea Leoni. Or Tiger or David, for whom I assume it's driven home now.

You spend too much time doing anything, it can drive down the quality of your life, no matter how much fun it is. And that effect percolates out to the people in your life.

Begin shallow snap judgment.

Here's, actually, where I don't see that it is sexual addiction. Because isn't sexual addiction, like gambling, or any other destructive behavior, the outlet but not actually what you're treated for in therapy? That is, you're a sexual addict because it's a result of underlying depression or some other mental health issue.

If you're a sexual addict because the underlying problem is you think you're entitled then in my mind you're an ass.

End of shallow snap judgment!
