I swear, this road closure is revenge for me loving my commute. I've done all I can for now. I'd LOVE to talk to Mary Pat Clarke and find out if they put any creative thought into this. Like night work, alternating lanes of traffic (it's 2 each way,) staging work, what. Because this is just so kerfucked. 4 lanes of traffic is getting dumped into already capacity roads with fewer than that. Seriously? I'm going to be using the alleys in the swank neighborhood IF THEY ARE CLEAR.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I didn't tell her that the p stands for "professional". But I really wanted to.

You know, there is How Your Brain Is Wired and then there is just how you behave in a professional environment.

You aren't naturally a super-punctual person? Adapt, dumbass. They pay you.

Or schedule meeting times as -ish.

Someone needs to adapt though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

xfinity is the dumbest corporate name. What is xfinity - the opposite of infinity?

Um, seriously. I'm constantly running late, but if I have a meeting, my ass is in that chair. Or on that line.

Which reminds me, I should probably think about hitting the sack because of my freaking six am conference call tomorrow. (Better for me than for the guy in L.A. though.)

Likewise. I'm not punctual in general, but if other people's time is on the line in addition to my own I make the effort.

Punishingly Intricate

Is Mary Pat your rep, sara? She gets shit done!

It took me 90 minutes to get home. One third of that to get about 200yards right before the turn to my street. Major road by me closed all night for snow removal.

I was with my parents last week (1.) on the wrong (East) coast and (2.) they are massively early morning people. It took me three alarms, but I was there to meet them on time every single morning. It was a matter of respect for me. The same as business meetings.

lisah, yep she is now! When I emailed her last night, she got right back to me, saying she was gonna talk to DPW and thought it was a terrible idea.

Which road is closed? 83?

For the love of all that's holy, avoid Charles and St Paul like the plague. They were damned parking lots. I literally spent 30 minutes turning from the Art Museum to Charles onto 33rd. And 33rd didn't really clear up until the Giant. I never got out of first gear.

I think I've figured out an alternate route through the mansion district. I'm expecting their roads to be clear, just cause they are more likely to have a service to do it. We will see.
