Almost 40 degrees! Practically tropical! I am so excited! (no, seriously.)
We're supposed to get into the 40s over the next couple of days. Once we get past tonight it's supposed to be sunny as well.
I'll wear my lighter coat!
Seriously, over the weekend I was walking in that coat and a wool sweater, and was so hot, I was sweating. I had to take my gloves off.
Burrito.
Empanada!
megan, I would LOVE the recipes, because I need to do more with my slow cooker.
gothiccharmschool at gmail dot com. Thank you so much!
It's above freezing, that's open-coat weather, if you even go with a coat.
megan, I would love those recipes for when I get myself a slow cooker since they appear to be all the rage. E-mail address is poltrcow at umich dot edu.
Aren't empanadas usually with meat?
Frankenbudha, I think I only saw sashimi (x-post with Nora).
Ooh, at Clio/Uni? Maybe I can work out the answers to the above questions directly from the source! When were you there?
Yes, you should go. Her name is Mary; I wish I found out exactly which nights she worked. We were there Monday night (after Casa Romero, which I now need to re-visit in the summer months to sit on the porch!). The bar manager is Todd, and though he wasn't there, he sounded awesome too. I had a drink called an "Acedia" and when I commented on how great it was, she told me she designed (developed? I do not know this bar lingo!) it! You guys, it had some sort of chili pepper tincture in it, of course I'm gonna love it! The new restaurant is going to be in some old bank, prolly opens in August, is going to be progressive French. Go talk, tell her I sent you (we all exchanged names but she'll remember you as the person who wrote pages of reviews on Chowhound after your CA adventure).
Also, I got to try the Other Side cafe and adored it.
Steve is meeting me in London in March, so I hadn't scheduled another Boston trip but now I think I need to go back for another weekend...and hit the Eliot with all of youse.
megan, I'd love those recipes! pageturner323@comcast.net works fine. Thanks!!!
