"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Steve and I had dinner at Casa Romero Monday night. Have either of you been?

It's been years, but I've been there a few times. I remember really liking the food. It's a great place to go during nice weather because they have a great patio.

Also, we had drinks at the Eliot Hotel and they have a sashimi bar there that looked wonderful (but we only had drinks).

That would be the sushi bar at Clio, right (I think the sushi bar actually has its own name, but it's in the same room)? It's supposed to be excellent, but wicked expensive (same as Clio, actually).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I um, accidentally fell asleep for a couple of minutes, and now I'm groggier than ever! This is why I'm not a napper.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and now I'm groggier than ever

Isn't it bracingly cold outside?

Walk to the nearest cafe and get the cold blast plus caffeine combo.

Nah, it's not so cold. 35. I do have errands to run, but no caffeine for me!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Also, we had drinks at the Eliot Hotel and they have a sashimi bar there that looked wonderful (but we only had drinks).

Uni Sashimi Bar. It is supposed to be awesome. I think my overwhelming food lust for O Ya has prevented me from going to Uni to check it out. Do they have good drinks?

We talked for a long time to the awesome bartender Mary, who lives in Cambridge and whose husband is going to be a chef for a new restaurant opening behind M.I.T. She described the planned menu, etc, and I totally think it will be a Nora and Tom place.

Did she where exactly? Did she say who her husband is? What kind of planned menus/cuisine? Did she say when it might open? Inquiring minds want to know!

I bragged to her about your foodie heaven California trip and she said she's extremely envious. Also, she says, stop in at some point and say hi, as she'd love to meet you.

Ooh, at Clio/Uni? Maybe I can work out the answers to the above questions directly from the source! When were you there?
