If I had a microwave, planning ahead would be much easier. There are many nights where I don't consider cooking an option. So I order in too much, or eat insufficient dinner.
I have not yet made peace with giving up that counter space. I flipped a coin between Foreman grill and microwave, and it came up grill.
I am pretty much Burrell, without needing to plan for feeding kids. I just make sure we have enough stuff on hand to put together a meal for the nights that we know we'll be home. I don't plan it out by day, though, like Monday = linguini; Tuesday = taco night, etc.
I just go with the basic idea that we can have linguini OR tacos OR spanakopita, etc., etc., on any given night.
Can you put the grill on top of the microwave?
We make big ginormous pots of things like stew and freeze some and eat the rest for days. We also eat a lot of sandwiches, since we both like 'em. One stand-by is a baked potato with chili on top (you can throw on some cheese or sour cream if you want to get fancy). Yummy and with a salad it makes a deelish dinner.
spanakopita
I'm never not going to read that as "spankatopia", am I?

That's between you and your brain.
Pervert.
Personally I think it would be a fabulous Kink Con name.

I always read it as "spank my pita."
I'm watching the curling on TV, and it's one of those Olympic days where, even though I don't know anything at all about the sport, the announcers are telling me enough that I'm sitting here thinking, "These are supposed to be the best in the world?? BS!"

There probably is one named that. Or, I'd be surprised if there weren't.
