Scottie Hamilton isn't announcing well? I haven't watched any of the skating competition as yet. I usually love his insight.
In his early years, the Button told it like it is.
I like Scott, but Bitter Bimbo keeps over-riding him, and he either does really agree with her or he doesn't want to contradict her on the air.
I'm trying to find her name, but NBC's website is very mum on who their personnel is.
Hamilton has way too much emotion, which can be good and exciting, but often means he is not really analyzing what he's seeing. Like most announcers these days, he often just reacts with "that was great" (or not), but doesn't say why or why not. Gymnastics also has this problem.
Her name is Sandra Bezic: [link]
God, the men's moguls coverage sucks.
They show all the Americans wiping out and go to commercial and miss the Canadians taking the top spots.
Every since the fucking '84 Olympics it's been jingoism city. One of the many things I blame Reagan for. (I fucking hate that fucker and would piss in his skull given the opportunity.)
Juliana makes a mean pimms cup
There was any doubt?
No, not really. Sadly, when I got to the Millbrae BART station, I realized that either it and/or or the next drink were still with me, despite the coffee and the hour of public transportation since I had had them, to the point where I wasn't 100% sure I should drive home, so my trip home included time spent in the In and Out across from the BART station eating food I didn't really want.
Now I feel sober, but greasy.
Have I mentioned getting old really sucks?
I was hoping we'd see the medal's ceremony for moguls, so we could watch Canadians go nuts. Perhaps it's worthy of the late night coverage.
Thanks, Empress, for finding the info.
The Canadian skiing for Australia is in first right now.
eta: ...and an American just hit the second spot with only two skiiers to go.
