I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

I don't have it off, but mr. flea and the kids do.

I am home with kids. The Valentine's goody bags rival Halloween. I think I am going to have to do some parental candy claiming to keep the sugar high to a minimum.

Not snowing yet.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

We get Presidents' Day off, which really surprised me, since this is the first firm where that was true.

I have a truly enormous amount of unwatched TV on my Tivo, plus 8 eps of S2 Criminal Minds from Netflix, and a lot of stuff I want to rewatch. This does not bode well for my getting stuff done this weekend.

I was going to do some major tv watching this weekend, but I was invited to a Not-Valentine's-Day movie party instead. A friend is having a group of women over to watch non-romances featuring strong females. I suggested Aliens, and after thinking about it, she said to bring the dvd, since it fits the parameters. I'm also bring Star Trek just because it's fun and the romance in it is so unexpected.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

What do I want for lunch?

(Burrito, sadly, not an option.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Empanada?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What do I want for lunch?

Some kind of hot sandwich. Hot Pastrami, Italian Beef, Tuna Melt. Something like that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hot Italian sub!

Oh, you so funny. Except not. If I still lived in Houston, I would be tempted.

Some kind of hot sandwich. Hot Pastrami, Italian Beef, Tuna Melt.

Hmm. That is a viable option.

Crap, I was gonna ride my bike to work today, but decided not to. That means my lunch options are sadly limited.

IORelatedN, my bosses are going to sell their building. Which means we'll be moving... somewhere. Hopefully back to downtown Evanston, the place of many fine lunch options.

Mmm, Italian Beef. I still haven't found a good beef place up here, but at least with going to school, I'm just down the road from Johnnie's in Elmwood Park, the best beef in Chicago.

But now I'm thinking that I could stop by Pita Inn on the way home for some chicken schwarma, hummus, and fresh pita bread. Oh, and some baklava, too.
