Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm still pissed about the time delay. I do love the Olympics, but I have no interest in watching if I know the results.

I also hate that NBC is so vague about their coverage: "From 1pm-5pm, these 10 things will be on." Not helpful.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

HMOG!

In trying to cram in a bunch of invoices in 2 hours, I discovered an entire month of invoices for our biggest vendor never got scanned in. Somewhere in the yearend shuffle they are just not there. scramble scramble. So I think I will take my snow day off another day. I still need to leave early since I left the precious (mac's ds) at home and he will freak out like a wild boar should he not have it for the ride back from therapy. GRR.

SO now I am just staying until like 2 or 3 and see if I can cram through a few more invoices. good god.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've got to clean off my dvr for the Olympics, too. I'm recording tonight's opening ceremonies more for the ability to fast-forward through the nations (I like to see what they're wearing, and then move on) than anything else.

I'm a big fan of downhill skiing due to the fact that my first-ever crush was at the age of just-shy-of-ten when I saw Franz Klammer windmill his arms around to stay on his skis in the '76 Innsbruck games. God, he was gorgeous!

I'll watch just about everything else, too. Got sucked into the snowboarding side-by-side races in the Torino games, so that I'll be dvring.

Liese! !!!!!! Have some exclamation marks! I'm even using them in my speech today.

Oh, and really, the opening ceremonies? Won't be anything like Beijing. Just FYI. Kind of a tough act to follow.

hip deep in pie

I only get to once every four years! Yay Olympics!

Oh Liese, if you can ever find access to Canadian TV, I swear there's curling on every weekend from fall to spring.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

When I was a kid, my aunt took us kids to Telemark Lodge in Northern Wisconsin. At one point we took cross-country ski lessons. The instructor was a former Olympic cross-country skier

Oh, hey, we used to go there all the time.

Re citizenship: the only cases I remember where people's citizenship was actually revoked have been things like going to Cuba and denouncing your citizenship, and even then, someone high up in the govmint has to a) take you seriously and b) pretty much be already holding a grudge.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I've got friends coming in to town this weekend, but our plans for tonight are to order in Chinese food and watch the opening ceremonies. I'm very excited!

I love figure skating and will be watching that. Oddly, my cat also loves figure skating. It's the only thing on tv that catches his eye, but he'll sit right in front of the tv and bat at the skaters.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy birthday, Kristin and Maria!

It's Friday! How many people have a three day weekend this week?

I am having a work at home day today, because I woke up with a migraine about 5:00, and decided I couldn't drive in. I wonder if I will get much actual work done.
