We got a snow day today! Yay! Although I'm not sure why. There's about 5-6" on the ground here and it's sunny and the roads are totally clear. Maybe it's worse near my school.
And, we really got an earthquake this morning?? It woke me up because my metal closet doors were rattling hard enough they popped open. I totally thought I was dreaming it and promptly fell back asleep. Didn't realize it was real until about 20 minutes ago when I read shrift's FB about not feeling it. It must have been fairly strong here to wake me up because it takes a lot to wake me.
Oh Joy. My horrible Wednesday meeting that is basically a clusterfuck of people talking around each other and not confirming dates and everything generally being up in the air will now be another hour on Fridays in addition to the regular Wednesdays. I want to kick something in the face.
My synagogue is trying to organize a minyan for this afternoon -- I have no idea if they're going to make it. If I counted, then I might go, but this synagogue only counts men.
Chikat - it's epicenter was in Sycamore. Are you in Aurora? Or Naperville? Because you would be alot closer to the epicenter than Shrift.
B'more peeps, is it still snowing there?
Oh my god yes. I've heard O'Malley claimed they won't be able to plow to pavement for at least 3 days. And driving in the city is now an arrest-worthy offense. We're under a blizzard warning for the whole state.
Holy crap. Sorry, Tom -- I mean, golly gee!

Aurora (west Aurora at that), so that makes total sense. I was dead asleep when it hit, so my brain did not process well when it woke me up. I truly thought I dreamed it.
So, Anne Hathaway apparently quit the Catholic church in support of her gay brother...
I'm in Wheeling and if I did feel the earthquake, I went right back to sleep. My cat had the crazies this morning, but not until 7:30 or so.
SO it is really only going to get worse here. good times. I am curious if they will close schools tomorrow also.
