I just had some caesar salad. I think that's the last of my fresh produce.

Just FYI, Aims, there is no camel inside, so don't get your hopes up.
Also no Daniel Radcliffe, sadly.
I gets a package.

Oh, as usual, dear.
Or charles?
We sort of get that out here when something like a major Earthquake or fire happens; people rely on each other and gain trust and friendships. But it doesn't happen that often.
I must live in a freakishly outlier neighborhood for LA. Most of us have lived here 30 years or more, many families have lived in the same house for multiple generations, neighbors hang out and talk with each other all the time. Help each other in the ways it sounds like sarameg's neighbors help each other. My sister lives in Nor Cal and seems to have a similarly positive relationship with her neighbors. I've always thought it was normal, not East Coast versus West Coast.
Lately, I've been finding Charles quite fetching. He's aging into his looks, as some men do.
I have to say, I do think I've hit the jackpot in this neighborhood. Part of it is self selecting (shitload of singles, so our income is going to dictate a certain housing stock) and nearby university. But we also have some long-termers (20+ years) who are happy to see the new influx.
And I'm sure a small part of it is me now. I want to engage, I'm looking to meet people. So while there may have been people to meet before, I wasn't looking. Now I am, and I picked out a mecca of people within a decade or so of my age and taste in housing!
