Basically the way Syzygy goes is everyone gets 9 tiles and the rest are in a pile in the middle of the table. When the game starts you flip over your tiles and build a crossword (following standard Scrabble rules). You can rearrange your tiles and build a new crossword at any time in the game - you're not stuck with the first set of words you come up with. When you have no more tiles in front of you, you shout "DRAW!" and everyone picks a tile. Repeat until there are no tiles left to draw. The first person to use up their last tile yells "STOP!" and then everyone adds up their score minus the leftover tiles (again, just like Scrabble).
There's also a word that counts triple in every round. For the first round the word is always "syzygy" and after that the person with the highest score gets to pick whatever word they want (before the next round starts).
It's seriously fun.

Thanks for the B-Day wishes. My girl called me at midnight and CJ gave me a prezzie before heading off to school (Tim Burton's 9 - haven't seen it yet).
I made muffins and am having some tea (from my Secret Santa). Buffy is on the tv and Supernatural will be on after. Ok, I do need to fire up the work laptop, but so far it has been a nice morning.

Facebook scrabble is great for nonspellers. It won't let you put anything up if you spell it wrong.
and I have 5 to 7 games going on, right now. Sometimes they move fast , sometimes slow. And I have improved. But mostly I lose.
