Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I remember watching the episode where Buffy's mom died, and I felt horrible for days afterward. It was really well-made, I think, because my uncle (who never watched Buffy before or since, and really hardly watches TV) stopped on it, watched the whole thing, and was very moved. His mother (my grandma) had died a few years before. At its best, Buffy was really universal.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dangit. Matilda tripped and fell on the surge protector, turning off all the TV/VCR/Tivo/Cable box.

I lost what I was watching on Tivo and it took forever (maybe 2 minutes!) for everything to boot up.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Wanna go sometime this spring?

Hell yeah!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

When I was a kid, it took about a minute for all the vacuum tubes on our TV to heat up before it'd work.

Uh-oh. Looks like we're up for some cat-vs. mouse action tonight.

God, what a stupid mouse. It made all this noise (squeaking and rustling stuff about) so any cat withing 100' could hear.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, Sophia--that's about as far as I got reading. Once I reached Anya's fruit punch speech it was a haze of tears.

Dammit! I thought of my perfect degree of fannish coffee cup for work on the way home, but curse DC/Warner Bros. I want this in travel mug. Brushed metal, logo. Can't find anything that simple and close. This just doesn't cut it. Damn them.

Jamaican weather is pretty consistent. Apart from whether it's raining or not, it's about 85° and sunny all the time. Rains for not long, and dries up after itself.

I don't like the heat. Or the sun. I just get so hot!

Do people still (or did they ever except in small towns) listen to the police scanner? I was just remembering how most people in my town, in the eighties, always had the scanner on, and they knew when there was a fire, or an ambulance called (and where it was called) or the fire department called-- it was actually more instantaneous than the internet!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ohh, that would be perfect.

(The cup. But the weather sounds pretty okay too.)
