Scrappy, that's so cool!
I dislike sushi. It's the concept of it, really.
After taking a psychology class once in which we were asked to write down our dreams for a whole semester, I got into the habit of keeping track of my dreams, for like years, and tried to correlate them to my life. I realized that when I dream about my car, it's always a metaphor for my feelings of control and self-determination. When I'm feeling like things are out of control, I dream that I can't find my car.
Yeah, everyone cared about that, I know.

The raw fish concept? Because I started eating non-fish sushi, and became obsessed with all of the other flavors -- the rice and soy sauce and wasabi and ginger. MMMMM.
There is something in Japanese food that unsettles my stomach. I thought it was wasabi for the longest time, but the last couple of times I've tried tempura and teriaki dishes and I always feel ill afterward.
I really like to eat almost every kind of food. Which I kind of forget, sometimes. Yay food!
You people are making me hungry for sushi when I'm recovering from food poisoning and in the process of being snowed in. No fair.
Red dragon rolls and rainbow rolls are generally my favorite. But I'm fond of maguro nigiri and salmon skin temaki too.
I haven't ventured beyond California and tuna rolls.
I had a dream the other night that prominently featured someone I dated when I was TWENTY and have only had the most casual of friendly-professional relations with lo these 15 years. (Happily not a sexytimes dream, 'cause eww.)
Then again I got earwormed the other week with the Gummi Bears cartoon theme song, which honestly I had forgotten existed until there it was bouncing here and there and everywhere in my brain. Synapses is weird, folks.
really all day long in the house together is too long. even playing with the babysitter now, mac is working my nerves.
I am trying to do chores in the kitchen.
The concept of sushi is the slightly sweet rice, right?
I abhor wasabi, and have to ask for my sushi made without it. It hurts my sinuses. I've had chefs send me back the same sushi with the wasabi scraped off, like that fixes things. Which, it don't. Owie.
The guy in the cube next to me has a mug that looks like a paper cup with a plastic lid. Freaked me out the first time I had to move it. Way too heavy. Now I kinda covet it. Way cooler than my two-companies-back travel mug. But I just passed someone's desk who has a mug from the same company. Almost started a conversation with her about it. Then I remembered I was on my way to talk to people I already knew I liked.
I have yummy mac and cheese with sharp cheddar in the oven right now, but now I want sushi :( With very little chance of getting any any time soon, as we are expecting another snow event tomorrow (10 inches or so. Let's hope that it's men measuring, so that it is actually only 6 inches ;)
