So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Snow stopped late yesterday afternoon. Now we need to excavate our cars. Also, the power went out at 7:30 last night and came back on around 1 am. We went to bed early since there was little else to do in a dark, cold house.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My cat and I seem to be producing more than normal amounts of static electricity.

Us too! It's weird. Their fur crackles with tiny sparks, and they glare at me.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The cat jumped about 2 feet into the air! It shocked her in more ways than one!

Perkins linked to some China Beach vids on livejournal, and now I am filled with complete and utter longing for that show. I wish it was available legally, mostly because I am crap and finding and downloading things. Once so much became available either through itunes or online with advertisements I stopped downloading and things seem to have changed a lot. (Back in the Buffy days, I downloaded Tuesday morning and watched on my lunch hour, so I was pretty good at it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Misplaced a patient. Big semantic distinction.

Hard time getting an IV. Had two nurses working on me at once, which is creepy. Where to look? But it beats waiting for the doctor to go into my jugular. Now I have a litre of fluids going in through my finger. I covet normal veins.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

An EMT friend of mine once admiringly took my hand gently in his, and told me it would be his pleasure to run an IV for me, any time I wanted.

Now tagless for your comfort.

ita, I wish your veins would cooperate. I feel so badly for you when they have to do this.

Superbowl Sunday. DH didn't like the boneless ribs I got to do pulled pork and insisted on pork shoulder--so he's out at the store now.

Because books.

No one can ever put an IV in me, which I don't understand. I'm very fair and you can see all these blue veins *right there*! I don't get it. I hate it when they have to put it in the back of my hand, too. ::shudders::

Sorry about the ER trip, ita. And the lack of plow, Sparky. My parents are SW of Philly and they got hammered, too.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am filled with complete and utter longing for that show.

ME TOO. It looks like it was playing on the history channel, at some point, so maybe it will again.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Mac just got busted with yet another new to him ds game that he traded for (I hope). He was clearly told no more trading last week, so the new game he was going to get for v-day and our trip to TX, that is no more. So now I have a truly pissed off little boy in church with me. Good times.

Our wings are not tired.

I have horrible veins, but at least I rarely need to expose them to needles. I think I only had an IV once. The zillion times I have had blood drawn I tell them up front that I will need the best sticker in the joint and point out the one and only vein that will yield anything. Continuing to send messages to the universe that ita needs a permanent pain solution that doesn't involve the ER.

Be careful out there, snowbound peeps. I'm enjoying the pictures very much as long as you stay safe.

It is a lovely day here for the Superbowl. Guess I should start getting ready.
