Meanwhile, we have cold rain. Everyone in my office is very quiet. I suspect many of them are sitting in their cubes, occasionally looking out at the grayness outside, feeling the ennui permeate their souls.
It's possible that I'm projecting.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

It sounds like you've been reading the Unhappy Hipsters site too much.
As a MA resident who loves booze,
I'm still shocked that I have a full liquor store inside my supermarket. Last night? I bought milk, english muffins, wine, and Bailey's! It's like I'm in another state.
I don't know how Costco's not worth the membership for ita.
I'm not sure I got my money's worth when I was a member, but if I take the entertainment value into account, I feel OK about it...
DC is getting almost 2 feet this weekend, and NYC is getting 4-6 inches. BOOOO.
And Boston is probably getting nothing, as far as I can tell. Double BOOOO.
ION, I signed up for (and paid for!) a networking thing today that I'm currently bailing on. Stupid oversleeping.
I just let my Costco membership lapse because as a singleton without a car I was dependent on others to take me there and mostly I just bought cat litter. But I'm still thinking of reupping. It was most enjoyable to take others there. One of my coworkers was particularly thrilled by all the giant size things. And you can pretty well make a meal from samples.
I should ask my parents if they still have a membership somewhere. If we combined purchases, I bet it would be worthwhile.
I may need to get a small separate freezer now that I think about it.

For me, the lack of car plus lack of storage definitely put a limit on what I was willing to buy there.

Storage is my main issue. I could probably justify the cost of a cab or a Zipcar to get stuff home, but then I'd have nowhere to put it!
I think it may be starting to flurry in DC. If so, they're very, very small flakes.
Yeah, exactly. A case of toilet paper may be a great value, but it never really fit my decor scheme.
