The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I like meerkating more too.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

That's why the penalty for the crime goes way up if the perpetrator moves you during a robbery. But I don't remember the distance or the increase in maximum sentence.

Sounds like kidnapping to me.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I love illustrations done in the name of safety:

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sounds like kidnapping to me.

For some reason I don't remember that coming up explicitly. But it sure sounds like it--if you move me across the street at gunpoint to better take my wallet, what's the diff?

It's cool having the place run by an ADA, because we'd get a lot of case-related info and legal nuggets. I just haven't retained all of them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's awesome, aurelia.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, my other coworker had her twins today. I think we're down to one preggo now... I don't know what was going on last June or whenever.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aargh.

So I'm having a crappy day.

First, I think I have woodworm in my firewood pile. But I can't really find any good info on it on the web, because apparently there are wood-boring beetles that only eat live wood and are therefore not a threat to my house and wood-boring beetles that eat dead wood and therefore my house's collapse is imminent.

Today I stayed home in my house sure to collapse instead of carting the SO around and running errands while he was at work, because I was waiting for the very prompt warranty replacement of my phone. I had to have it replaced because the headphone jack doesn't seat properly and therefore I get right hand only audio in best case scenario, and nada in worst case, with all sorts of nice crunching and static if I wiggle the plug around or apply pressure to it or whatnot.

Tried three different headphones and two adapters (because it's an idiotically 2.5mm jack instead of 3.5mm, which is what the SO has on his EnV Touch). Nope.

And yes, I could just get a bluetooth headset, but the point is, I want to listen to music like it's a music player. And also, I use an eighth inch to eighth inch cable to connect it to external speakers, which is handy because I can teach from it without carting around a pile of cds.

Okay. So. Local phone guy is super nice. At first phone company wants me to come to a center. In Phoenix, hours away. Not happening. So then they very promptly send me out a replacement, with dire warnings as to what might happen to me if I do not sit waiting with bated breath for the delivery guy. Who comes early, bless him, despite our mud rut of a road. (Here, the Fedex guy rents a 4wd. Hee.)

I spend all day a) wrestling with Napster trying to sync up my music (which is weird because apparently Napster believes my phone is a computer. Well, it's close.) and b) backing up all my data and contacts and making sure all my media is on the card, etc.

I should have just fired the bad boy up first, because IT DOES THE EXACT SAME DAMN THING.

I am now coming to the tragic conclusion that it's a hardware design issue. Looking closely at the jack, I can see that it's set back from the body of the phone a bit. There's a cutaway surrounding it, but this is not big enough to admit the entire body of adapter #1. It does admit adapter #2, but this results in only mono left ear sound.

I could cry. And furthermore I got jack all else done today. And I have rehearsal tonight and I'm all pissy! Not the best frame of mind for worship I tell you what.

My first world problems, let me show you them. This is what I get for going on a ringtone rant earlier.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Wow, that was even tl;dr for me on rereading to check for typos.

hip deep in pie

That is very frustrating Liese.

I am just sititng on the couch like a lump, even though my sister has called and told me she's coming for a visit. Tomorrow. Or maybe Saturday. She doesn't know. I've told she's welcome to come anytime, but I need notice so I can tidy. She seems to consider 24 hours enough notice. It's not.

Our wings are not tired.

Liese, that sucks. I know entirely too well how dealing with stupid techie issues can eat up a whole day!

Jesse, what did they name the twins?
