Because books.

I'm wrapping gifts for Ben, who turns thirteen today. They're mostly Xbox related, but I did get him the first volume of Sandman.

I'm also thinking about scheduling my first-ever massage. I don't know how I got to this age without having one.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I keep finding myself looking at housing swap listings on craigslist, so I guess that's what I'm doing for vacation this year. And since I now have ten years at my job, I get an extra week of time.

You forgot to add in the "in San Francisco" part.

We already have one of your meals planned, by the way.

Librarian Warlord

I just pointed out to a faculty member that getting copyright permission to use a document written by a supposed cleric associated al-Qaeda was not likely. Also, getting sued for using the document also not likely.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm fake-working and thinking about what I should buy at the supermarket. I don't really feel like eating anything.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

(By the way, DCistas, have you heard? Winter storm warning: 16 to 24 inches starting mid-morning tomorrow, near-blizzard conditions Friday night. )

Ugh. I really need to go grocery shopping, too, and my ankle is hurting too much to really shop, and I'm guessing there won't be grocery delivery in a blizzard, considering how long it generally takes DC to plow. I guess I'll go to 7-11 tonight and stock up on some frozen dinners and stuff.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You forgot to add in the "in San Francisco" part.

This would be perfect, except that time timeframe is all wrong.

Massages are heavenly. CALL NOW. DO IT!!!!

I'm in the office and wish I were at home. My neck is still stiff and I'd love a nap.

information libertarian

On school closings, our public schools in GA are closed for MLK day and President's day. The Uggaversity is closed for MLK but not President's.

It's been 19 hours since I found out about the dental stuff. I think I am starting to calm down a little, finally.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it's a SQL statement.

Aha. A SQL statement. Not the SQL statement. I have encountered (ie, written) a lot of those recently).

Happy birthday, Ben!

I did get him the first volume of Sandman.

Nice crack.

I spent some time perusing a site way back for houseminders. It helped people make an entire lifestyle of living in other people's houses. No swapping involved. The amount of freedom involved in that terrifies me, but how exciting!

I haven't really spoken to anyone in my krav circle of friends in a while, but maybe I should reach out to the masseuse. She used to work on me weekly. I can't afford that again, but every once in a while might be nice...
