Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Aargh. I think I am going to have to buy the movie to figure out what costume I am thinking of. Or if I completely imagined it.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Whoohoo! One of the developers emailed the guy in charge of the move and asked for dividers. Ballsier than I am, that's for sure. We should be getting some eventually.

What about privacy screens for your monitor, at least?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have not seen a privacy screen anywhere in this company. Which is weird, now that I think about it. But this place also doesn't give out blackberries, so I definitely think they're odd. All my other jobs have given remote access portable devices.

I just jacked up my resolution to 1800x1440 (I purloined a 21" monitor in the move) which usually works well for first-level obfuscation.

Our wings are not tired.

ita, my boyfriend's new job is VP at a company and I was shocked that not only does the company not dole out communication devices, they're on desktops!!

Ack! At least everyone here, pretty much is on a laptop. And it's mandatory that we take them home every night. Business continuity. It's a clunky beast, though, and wireless doesn't work, and the screen locks after 15 minutes of inactivity so it's kind of irritating.

I got so used to having a blackberry even for just toting around the office and knowing when and where my next meeting was going to be. I think some people have email forwarded to their personal devices, but I maintain separation of church and state as much as possible. They want bandwidth, they can pay for it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH's boss was shocked to find out he was still on a desktop. DH finally got one for him and his staff a couple of weeks ago.

I have a budget meeting for the non profit I'm volunteering for and I hate those things. Non profits in general are on the ropes lately and I hate begging for money.

Not begging! Giving people the opportunity to support work they think is important, but can't do themselves!! t /fundraising evangelist knee-jerk

I wish it was regular fund raising! Donors, I can deal with. Our major funding source is United Way so I have to go through them. They're threatening to cut it all so we're essentially begging them not to.

There will be begging. But they do support us. It's just a struggle to prove to them how much we're needed.

Oh, that's even less begging. That is a business negotiation, making a case.
