I hear the Jews and Greeks are very similar, what with the loud talking and the wackiness. I mean, right?
Ah. So, Southerners.
Well, Jews aren't quite white because the whole religion thing, darker than that Vanity Fair's cover complexion, exotic yet still mostly familiar ingredients food that one can be "into", colorful parental behavior, prominent noses, loud arguments, and coarse dark hair.
Greeks aren't quite white for just about all the same reasons. (They have Christmas and Easter all wrong you know...)

As an Italian-American, I find that "ethnic" means Jews, Greeks and Italians like "urban" means black (and possibly hispanic).
Absolutely. I think "urban" just means black.

The thing that confuses me is that Irish Americans have similar stereotype plus "drunkards", but they are not "ethnic"
