I have no feminist cred when it comes to music
I (still!) listen to Motley Crue. I don't think I ever had feminist cred about music.
I know two people whose names on paper rhyme with ita's, (a Vita and a Geeta) but of course neither are pronouced the way I've learned to say ita's name, even just in my head.
I used to work somewhere where on one day each week, there were five people on shift - two Brendas and three Daves. And there was the period when my boss, my brother's boss, my closest friend's boss and my dog all had the same name. Made for some pretty hard-to-follow conversations, especially at happy hour.
I'm not allowed to date Michaels.

I don't either. I love a couple of Kid Rock songs, Buckcherry's "Crazy Bitch," and lots of others.
I married a Michael! So did half my friends.
My rule is, never date a Josh.

My OT lifelong crush is a Josh. Safely married with two kids now. I have a disturbing predilection for Pauls.

And you have named two of the people I talked around in my post. Only Vita pronounces her name to rhyme with mine, but she doesn't seem to care if people flub her "t." Geeta has a bit of an "h" after her "t."

I was going to say -- how could you avoid that?
One time I was telling someone a story about my friend's dog waking me up, but both the dog and my boyfriend at the time were named Mike, so it was very confusing for someone else coming in in the middle of the story.
I joined a mom's group in PA and out of maybe twelve people, five of us were married to Steves. Surprised me, actually.
