Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I tried to watch the pre-show, but the celebrities kept talking. Stephen Colbert was funny, though.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm skipping Grammy stuff, since I don't know anything about contemporary music anyway.

Dad just left after spending the day up here. I blew off cleaning yesterday to cross stitch all day long, and paid for it when I looked at the clock at 7:00 this morning and realized I had to get my laundry done and my entire filthy apartment cleaned by 11:00. Got most of it done, except for the kitchen and bathroom floors and the dusting (picked up, but didn't dust). Oh, well, at least it's cleaner than it had been in a while.

Dad took me out for lunch. He's on a diet, so we went to one of his favorite places up here called Wildfire, a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant more known for its grilled meat, but Dad and I love the soup and salad there. Big bowl of kickass ceasar salad to share, and wonderful soup (instead of our usual french onion, we went with the day's special of chicken tortilla--spicy and filling!), with terrific free miniloaves of bread. After eating all that healthy food, Dad couldn't resist the chocolate cream pie, which we were going to split, but I was so full that I just took a sliver and gave him the rest.

Then we came home to find the elevator isn't working, so I worked off the pie by climbing up the stairs.

Showed him the Star Trek film which he hadn't seen yet. He's familiar with the original series and had seen most of the original-cast films, and he really liked the reboot.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I like that better than the red leather she wore to meet Queen Elizabeth

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Huh. Gaga looks like Atomic Barbie tonight. I totally approve.

Because books.

How do you sit down in that? I like the Goldilocks blonde on her, though.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Those are some astonishing shoes she's got on. Like sparkly hooves.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Madonna as Atomic Barbie, with that hair and brows.
