Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Thank you Aims! Also, my googling informs me the Common Loon is our national bird. Well, that or the Goose, I'm not sure.

Trust my rage

My grandparents had a cabin in the woods of Wisconsin and when visiting, at night, I would fall asleep listening to the loons. So cool.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks to all of you, I have tracked down the black and white bird that I see a lot around here, and I think it's a black-billed magpie.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Mercer, WI, claims to be the loon capital of the world. Which I find completely plausible.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Georgia's state bird is the brown thrasher, a nondescript brown bird that gets its name from thrashing about in leaves to find insects. Georgia also has a state game bird, the quail.
