Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

so , these pagent people would think the sexgames for kids in Brave New World were ok? I am sure there are some sane people involved in kid pagents. And I can see some scholarship money being worth soe of it but since I don't have my eyebrows waxed...

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The biggest prize at any of these competitions is $5,000. Some of these people are spending $2,000-$3,000 per dress, and the kids wear at least four different outfits per pageant. The people spending the least money are paying a few hundred dollars per dress by buying them used from the people who pay a few thousand.

Ooooh.

Why are they spray-tanning a child whose natural skin tone is darker than the shade that most of the kids are tanning to?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have karated, babysat the dojo baby for a couple of hours, done dishes, moved laundry around, and sent the boy off to his father's. Can I be done for the day?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

About an hour and 2 minutes ago, I set my kitchen timer for an hour, and forced myself to clean for the WHOLE HOUR.

Whew. Glad that's over, even if I didn't finish the apartment.

That's craziness! I had a lazy yet active day. Went for a long walk followed by an early supper and nap. It's been nice.

Seeing as I have a relatively clean kitchen and tomorrow is 3/14, I think I may start a pie crust tonight in order to make a pie tomorrow. But do I want to make a blueberry pie or a key lime pie?

I KNOW.

Plus, I just put on outside pants, and now I am going to go buy allergy meds and then go for a walk. It will probably only be a short walk, but that's better than nothing, I think.

eta: Key lime!
