Our wings are not tired.

Oh yeah, I remember that, too.

Wow, that was some great skating.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Man, remember our long outage and Zoe invading People's Forum where the old backup site used to be?

I forgot about that! Didn't she send an email some time later to apologize and let us know that she was better?

Is there any way to know how many active posters there are now? As opposed to just registered users?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Schizophrenic off her meds, and yes, she did apologize. Still, upsetting.

Woohoo Grace! Such wonderful news.

msbelle, I'm so sorry. Vibing some equanimity to mac.

Damn. I did like Gus. I mourned--and still do--the person I liked and thought he was.

Y'all been busy in here today.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I still kick myself over the Gus thing, because I had my doubts, but couldn't bring myself to voice my doubts publically. If I'd known "he" was jerking tommyrot around, it'd have been a different and much shorter saga.

Altogether, considering what nasty financial and/or emotional stress other "characters" have done to people and/or communities, "Gus" was small potatos, but I'm still spitting mad to find out that the imposture is still going on in other venues.

information libertarian

So, all 500 public computers in my building (except the 40 Macs) are STILL down 23 hours after the virus first struck. They thought they had it licked at 11pm, but it defeated them. And all the teaching podium computers are down, too, which is going to make the day fun for the tech support people in a whole new way (we are one of the larger classroom buildings on campus.) Very glad to be a librarian.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's wrong to be like, "GO MACS!" but that is how it feels.

Sorry for the long day, flea.

Up early. An UGH sort of day today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

People's Forum.

I couldn't think what that place was called, just the other day! Good times, good times.

NYC, is it that bad down there? My office is closed.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

After nothing blut slush yesterday, we got a foot of snow overnight.

When I was up at 3:00am, there was only six inches, so it's still coming down hard.

Keep breathing!

I heard a news report this morning from NJ about how it snowed all night and there are 22" of snow and I thought, hey, I'm near DC - we've been there and done that this year! Beautiful to look for the first day, annoying as heck afterwards. I don't know how people north of the Mason-Dixon line put up with it year after year.
