I found Gus' posting style personally off-putting (commenting about people and things people had done rather than actually talking to anyone), but he didn't raise my hackles the way Schmoker did when he appeared. I did wonder about some of his stories about himself, though.
And there was that whole business about how no one should ever get a mortgage that DID annoy me.
