I also say "comb" with a b in my head.

Oh! Milagro!
If you really want to blow Owen's mind, point out to him that, according to various English spelling rules, "fish" can also be spelled "ghoti."
Do you have a brand recommendation?
I like Noilly-Prat, a French vermouth.
You'll need dry vermouth for martinis (with Gin!) and sweet vermouth (rosso, not blanco) for Manhattans.
I remember brain-farting in third grade and trying to spell "of" as "uv."

Yeah. I learned that on Batman (the TV series).
Brain saw this:
Can anyone tell me how to explain -tion words to Owen? He asked me how to spell "operation" last night and then proceeded to ask me why a "shun" word was spelled with "tion." I'm at a loss.
followed immediately by this:
Fuck yeah!
And idly thought, "Noooo... don't think that's the best way..."
Clearly, need more coffee.
Also more classical music. Although "Bacchanale" is what's next in the queue.
My brain is going to weird places today, isn't it?
does anyone have any silver tequila recommendations other than Patron?
Herradura's my favorite silver.
I just figure that everyone understands I still believe the exact same stuff in that exact tone of voice.
Yeah, this. It's not as though my views are obscure or confusing to anyone at this point in our history.
My five year old was saying Dangit DANGIT DAAAANNNNGGGIIIIIT Dangit in class all day Tuesday. It was very cute. I didn't want to discourage it because it was probably provided as a substitute for what he hears at home. But I didn't want to encourage it either. It was so funny, though, because he wasn't really particularly upset at anything, he was just savoring its use.
Vermouth: Vya, Dolin, Antica, Noilly Pratt. Also, vermouth should be refrigerated unless being used quickly.
I've been enjoying high quality gin in vintage cocktails. If you can get 209 there, I recommend.
Scola is correct regarding Old Overhold rye being awesome and a staple no bar should be without.

Oh, really? Crap.
