And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love that simple cookie sugar icing.

I am short a banana muffin this morning. Woe. But these Alpen muffins aren't better than the Cook's Illustrated ones. Still, better than no brekkie.

I think he just let it lie.

But the internet would be ignorant! No! Must not let!

We get to have a favourite mommy blogger? Hmm. The quandary.

I do not have funky purple tights like Perkins, but I do have a funky purple pendant. So I'm wearing a black dress (which I think she also has--wrap) to best facilitate pendant display. This is toned down enough to allow lipstick.

Thing about the pendant is that it's a really satisfying weight, and it feels great in the hand when it's warmed up to body temperature. So I'm periodically clutching at my bosom. I hope no one minds.

Now I have to go reply to a tetchy vendor email. Pfft on them.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You know, there are people you can call who will bring food right to your office.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am taking my mom to the mall. Yup, we're going to go hang at the Mall today. Gonna see The Young Victoria, look for a new purse for her, and go to some place for a nice lunch.

“Not dead yet!”

So, sometime in the future, after we sell our Florida house, for one, we want to redo our bedroom and bath and this is the color scheme I want for the bathroom:

With sort of a Balinese inspired feel, I think. Lots of dark wood trim, but plenty of light.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have never ordered food to the office. Seems weird.

I need to restock my liquor cabinet. I have let it fall by the wayside. I have rum, brown and white, and some cheap vodka. I'm thinking I need to get some Grey Goose, some silver tequila (Patron?), some Oban...what else? I hate gin, but I should have some, in case I have a freak of some sort over.

very nice. am happy someone else is spending time searching the interweb machine for color schemes.

I am desperate for feedback on my obsessions on my house and keep showing a few co-workers my thought on furniture placement and colors. Sadly, they don't really care and only humor me with nods and patient smiles.

I have been on a rye whiskey kick for a little while now. Old Overholt FTW.

Or, you know, any kind of whisk[e]y at all.

Do you have vermouth and bitters?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I read mommy blogs and I still don't have a favorite. (Okay, maybe ParentHacks. If I had to pick.)

The Traveller RPG was the first thing that caught my eye when I read the io9 article, too.

In terms of who's changed, well - Nanita, remember in LA when you said I was one of the kindest Buffistas and it took everyone within earshot (including myself) a good five minutes to stop laughing? Heh. Yeah. (In my defense, I was 21 years old when I joined TT. I've grown up a little.)
