Our wings are not tired.

Buy it buy it buy it buy it. It's a good investment! Years of entertainment, plus, you can lend the first dvd out to friends to win multiple toasters.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. I suppose I`m mellower now. It used to feel like we were creating our own social utopia and a misstep would be epic fail. Not that we knew those words then. I still feel sad at the loss of consensus. But I worked out we were just us and thread proliferation wasn`t going to end civilization as we knew it. I take myself less seriously now.

Except with hockey. That`s serious. I think the SO & I inadvertently create new fans through the sheer volume of our enthusiasm. It`s just a fun game, fast-moving and easy to start watching, often locally accessible. Lots of people aren`t into it, but that`s ok, they`re in good company. We enjoy it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I`m fairly sure I`m the only on one the boards heavily invested in Slovak hockey.

My Czech blood spits on Slovak hockey! And then goes and weeps in the gutter after being beaten by freakin' Finland.

Also, dudes, I live with a Canadian. A Canadian who is massively, massively homesick right now, and who is heavily invested in hockey as a matter of course. (Some might say over-invested. Those people are not Alaskans.) The past week has been interesting, to say the least. I'm just happy I called the women's gold medal matchup at the beginning (USA vs. CAN).

Post-ToastiesL what I meant to say, Liese, is that we should go watch a hockey game together sometime.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I know! Finland, right? Also that women`s game tomorrow is going to be a great one. and with the men`s it`s entirely possible it`ll end up USA/Canada too. But the Slovaks could still play spoiler, so I stand by my original prediction, even though the rest of my medals lineup is already impossible.

Yes. Yes we should.

Liese, your whitefonted text is totally accurate. Of course, if that does happen, I'll have to take the night off from work, because someone in this household is going to be roaring drunk and quite likely weeping. Possibly both of us.

Yes! Come on up, I'll take you to a Sharks game!

Hee. It`s good to be able to see the future so clearly, huh? Would love to come over. We have seeing a game in every stadium on our bucket list, which means we`d better not kick it for a while.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Annalee did point out I could go over to tvtropes and just ask Fast Eddie who the hell he was (so not her words).

Because nobody ever lies about themselves on the internet!

What day is it?
