I just went looking in the closed threads and found a very empty Bureau 1. I thought the board was looking out for my mental health.
The final post count is wonky. But you can replace the post_id with 1. Or threadsuck.
I have the database window open. Let me fix the post counts.
Before
I tend to Aldis.
Thin crust pizza on its way. I'm even tipping with cash.

Your priorities are very strange and off-putting.

The database login also has a timeout. Aldis may take some time to savourhandle.
Wow. That was worth striking out. Because I look much more dignified this way.
It's...nice that you think so?
I'm making tacos.
Lately I've been amused by the fact that I discuss hardcore pornography at work possibly more often than I would had I got that job at Playboy. My life is a little ridiculous.
My neighbors made tacos too. And posted about it on FB. Since it is only a 5 minute walk away, I thought of going over there. Except I owe them big and already ate and that'd be rude (despite an open invite to dinner, they always make too much.)
I'm wishing Baltimore wouldn't be so shitty to them (in the year they've been here, M's had to be hospitalized with appendicitis, T's car has been broken into, M's car has been hit, trashcan's been stolen, fire was set in their alley) because I love having them as neighbors, and honestly, it is too bad they are just starting out in their careers and money is tight, or I'd be actively lobbying them to buy one of the upcoming for sale houses on the block. Hell, Matt knows and is loved by the block already!
So I was telling my fantabulous roomie L the whole complicated Gus story, which evolved into me talking about how I love the Buffistas so and what a great community we have and... well, L, if you are lurking then HI!
So far I haven't gone hunting through old Natters for Gus posts. I suspect it might happen during slow spots at work tomorrow, though.
I'm not very good at letting some stuff go. But I want to revisit the genesis of tvtropes. Curses.
I'm glad the topic of him led to a good discussion, smonster.
But I want to revisit the genesis of tvtropes.
It evolved, in part, from my long standing desire for The Encyclopedia of Lost Pop Cultural Tropes. Which was a different idea but got us off onto the notion of viral bits of narrative which recur in little protein strands.
Random quote from a kindergartner talking to his father about his pregnant mother:
"Today was mommy's due date...but she didn't do anything."
