Liese, I have something similar going on, but different joints (mainly my knees) though some cycles it skips. Actually gave me shinsplints one time since I apparently adjust my gait to compensate for floppy joints. It's kind of fascinating, actually.
We had covers like those Scrappy linked to on all the observatory dorm beds. Red, blue, avocado, yellow... I will forever associate them with cinderblock walls, hurricane lamps and Tang.

I had some awesome house-made chile vokda last night, in a cocktail with ginger and I forget what else. The server almost didn't let me order it, the guy who delivered it was like, "Hope you like spicy!" and then the server watched while I took the first sip. It was hot, but not bananas hot.
